Above All Else
12 Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. 13 Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
The leadership team for this ministry landed on Colossians 3:12-14 after careful discernment and thoughtful prayer following the end of the previous academic year. Many factors were considered, such as the spiritual needs of each academic class, belief groups, and overall sentiment following the earlier years' teachings and circumstances. As many people in our body wrestled with the idea of having an identity rooted in Christ, they often stumbled upon one thing: "What is our response to the good news of the Gospel?".
How does scripture define love? How is God’s unconditional love for us displayed through the Gospel? What does it mean to be saved by grace alone? What does a personal relationship with Christ look like practically for believers? How do we balance our faith with work, school, family, friends, etc. and ultimately be a light in those areas?
As our members grapple with these profound questions, we invite you to embark on a transformative journey. This academic year, we will delve into the theme of love above all else and understanding how to live a gospel-centered life. We aim to equip you with the knowledge and understanding to answer these questions.
